since this morning the WU-problem is gone. WU works again. I did nothing
additional in the past two days to solve the problem - just waited.
So the problem was on the WU - site.
As far as i can summarize it looks like this: the problem started by the end
of last week all of a sudden and only prescott-cpu´s were affected, because
they must have changed something on wu.
but obviously they worked on it.thanks for that.

thanks to everyone who provided proposals (although they were all waisting
time and did not help in this case ;-) - thanks & greetings anyway.

I did not have any problem nor did anything to solve it.
But how could I do something if I had no problem? I just
waited to see if I got any WU issue but none happened. I
am so wise! Then I realized the problems was not the CPU
but the TV Set, or was it the Stereo?

I do not know how you do it to use my newsgroup-name - but - before judging
this way you should do your investigations first - so search for 0x88044010,
take all advices that are postet and then you know what i have tried before
these last two days just to get updates for sp1.

btw - are you working at microsoft ?
