The only options for you - since the hardware will not recognize the
hardware - is:
- BIOS upgrade (if available from manufacturer)
- new system/motherboard
- IDE expansion card with its own BIOS
- Use the software that should have come with the hard drive
(or can be downloaded from the manufacturer) to fool your computer
into using the entire space.
What I am saying is that if your system BIOS does not see a drive of this
size, you will have to upgrade the hardware in some way OR you will have to
chance using the software that fools your computer (really configures it
with software instead of hardware) into seeing the entire drive. Which is
best for you depends on your situation and skill level - if you want to go
the software route and don't know where to go from here - what is the name
brand of your hard drive?
