iTunes

I have Windows XP home edition with all latest updates and SP's installed.
I downloaded the latest update of iTunes, and it looked like this crashed my
PC. It would not even start my Windows, only if I did it Safe Mode. So I
did, and I had to restore my PC: two users plus the administrator. Once I
restored my PC back to before I installed iTunes update, Windows worked but
NOT iTunes. I am trying to reinstall iTunes but gives me a problem box from
Windows once the installation is finished. iTunes does not work any longer
anymore .... all my purchases are gone!!

The same aspect of itunes not working happened to me as well. Each time i
download itunes, as soon as it is finished it gives me an error screen. I as
well have lost music, i have no idea what to do

Two things first go to the apple newsgroup and ask them. Second don't use
the iPOD and iTunes they are so over priced and memory hungry.

New news again!! It is NOT iTunes but any SW that I install. Just bought a
Webcam "Bluesky" with video, photo and other SW with it and I got exactly the
same error mssg as when I installed the last iTunes update. So I had to
restore my PC again.... I am starting to think this is a Microsoft problem

I guess the thing to do now is to contact DELL ... the manufacturer...

I am having the same frustrating problem. I think Apple.com should be
notified or this site can forward our similar complaints to them?

What's the use of the advertisements for new generation ipod shuffle which
can not access the itunes? The second generation does not come with the CD
unlike the older versions. I had the new product exchanged and it was
replaced with a new ipod shuffle second generation and it still encounters
the same problem with my Windows. GRRRRRRRRRR

Perhaps you should visit the Apple web site for assistance with this
issue as it has nothing to do with Windows Update, the name of this
newsgroup.
