I was in Windows Mail, and looking at some messages in the Inbox, and I don't
remeber if I double clicked on a message or what, but they disappeared. I
know I didn't delete them all. These folders I'm looking for are sub
folders of the Inbox. Can someone please help me??

Oops. Forgot we were in Vista. How about a triangle for Deleted Items?
Are the folders still there in the message store?

No, there's no triangle there, in Deleted items. I'm pretty profficient on a
computer, I work on one everyday at work, I'm not an IT person at all, but I
can't seem to find these folders. I'm really frustrated, as we JUST got our
new computer yesterday and they transferred everything over, including
everything from outlook to vista windows mail. Any other ideas? Thanks for
your help!

Search for *.eml under the message store directory in WinMail and see if you
can find the directories that match the subfolders. The message store
directory location can be found via Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance
| Store Folder.

This is just a wild thought, just in case. I am still in process of the
migration myself and imported large number of messages. I noted that the
'imported files/messages' are segmented out by making them subfolders of the
local folder, called Imported Folder. I have also noted that each import
creates a new Imported folder(2) and etc.

This is my question.....my imported folder also contains an INBOX for
example and some other duplicates to the normal ones that appear above. If
that's the case, perhaps you were in one of those folders and then haven't
found your way back to it. Hope that helps you out of your dilema.

I don't know why they did it the way they did, but I am currently recreating
the file/folder structure under Windows Mail, and then moving the messages
from each folder in the imported folder to the new folder to get rid of the
confusing structure (at least to me).....good luck,,,,Chuck
