Open your Control Panel, double-click the Java icon,
then empty the cache.

You should download the newest Java software, available
free, from Sun Microsystems:
http://java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp

Make sure to uninstall the old version of Java first.

There are anti virus News Groups specifically for this type of discussion.

microsoft.public.security.virus
alt.comp.virus
alt.comp.anti-virus

This Java exploit Trojan was either found in a .CLASS file found outside a Java Jar or found
inside a Java Jar (ZIP type file).

1) Dump the contents of your IE cache -
Start --> settings --> control panel --> Internet options --> delete files

2) Dump the contents of the Mozilla FireFox Cache { if you use FireFox }
Tools --> Options --> Privacy --> Cache --> Clear

3) Dump the contents of your Sun Java cache -
Start --> settings --> control panel --> Java applet --> cache --> clear
or
Start --> settings --> control panel --> Java applet --> general --> settings -->
delete files

Then, re-scan your system.

Hi Dave,

I used procedure two and didn't find anything. Ran Ca antivirus and it was
clear. Everything appears to be ok.

Thanks for your help.

Right. Dumping the caches removed the Trojan Exploit Java code.
