Javascript Runtime Access Error

Hi,

HP update gets the error

Error 2739: Could not access JavaScript run time for custom
action.

when it tries to install an update. What is happening and how do I
fix it?

This is a Compaq laptop running Vista Premium.

Have you installed the latest version of the JAVA Runtime 6 for Windows
Vista?

Except for the name (and some amusing history) Javascript and Java have
nothing to do with each other.

I'm not sure how to solve the OP's problem though...
