Hello:

When I open a new tab in IE 8 and start typing in the google search bar,
while typing it will jump to the top where you enter the URL add, and I will
have to select again to type in the google searh box. Anybody knows how to
fix this? It only happens once, whenever opening a new tab, but it makes me
frustrated whenever I see after typing, that part of my tping has gone up in
the url bar?

Thanks.

Hello,

Try running IE8 with add-ons disabled.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No
Add-ons) to start IE8 without any add-ons. Try using the browser and see if
the same problem arises.

If the problem does not occur again, start IE8 normally, go to Tools (if the
menu bar does not appear, hit the Alt key on the keyboard) > Manage Add-ons.
Disable all the add-ons under 'Toolbars and Extensions'. Enable each add-on
one at each time and see if the problem occurs again. Once it occurs again
after enabling an add-on, you have nailed the culprit.

So you decided to make *spam* every one of your posts by NOT putting
your ADVERTISING in a signature. A sigdash ("-- ") line delimits the
signature, not a "___" line. Also, signatures ALWAYS go at the bottom
of your reply whether you top- or bottom-post (and regardless of being
lazy about wherever your particular NNTP client puts the signature).
The sigdash line indicates the start of the signature. There is no
end-of-sigdash delimiter to identify when signatures end, so EVERYTHING
past the sigdash line becomes part of your signature.

You used to use a proper sigdash line to delimit your signature (but you
still placed it at the top which meant ALL of the quoted content became
part of your signature). Guess you later decided that you wanted to
ensure that readers would see it INSIDE the body of your posts but that
just means you converted your posts into spam! Your post back on
Dec-14-2006 used a sigdash line. Then in your next post (which was over
30 months) later you removed the sigdash line so your spammy signature
was moved to inside the body of your reply and which spamified your
post. Help: yes. Spam: no.

Until you fix your newsreader to use a proper sigdash line as the
signature delimiter to keep your spammy sig out of your reply , you ARE
a spammer. It takes only one baby step more to get the signature moved
to the bottom of your replies (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886340).

See here. This uses a sigdash line ("-- ") and the sigature content
follows. It is at the BOTTOM of the reply regardless of posting order.
Learn to configure OE properly for delimiting the signature. Also,
there are registry edits to have OE place the signature at the *bottom*
of your replies.

Same thing happens to me x2: Vista PC with IE7 (work) and XPpro 64bit with
IE8 (home). When I start typing in the default IE search area (not even the
google toolbar) the typing will "jump" midstream. Arghhhh, freakin' annoying.
