I have new Dell w/vista home premium. I transferred old files and loaded
Juno 5. I can get e-mail to send receive; but it will not connect to
Internet. I get an error that says 'triedit.dll is not supported.

I think you need to contact Juno Tech Support for help with this issue.

Thanks, I did and they say it is Windows that is not supporting their
product, it needs that triedit.dll to run.

Juno tech support is wrong. It is up to them to make their product
compatible, not they other way around. They created this as the version for
Vista and it is up to them to support it as such. That said, this may not
be a Vista conflict, various vendors, Dell included, have some of their own
software embeded in the setup on their computers, do you have anything on
your system that says "Dell and whatever other possible application" "Dell
Support Center, Dell Audio or Media Center," anything that seems to be a
Dell branded application of some kind? If yes, it's possible that the
problem isn't a conflict with Vista but a conflict with this particular Dell
application that may need to be disabled or removed.

Thanks Mike, I'll check it out when I get home.

The workaround is a bit messy, but, Juno does enter the information
needed to MS Windows dialup networking client. Do the email as you are
accustomed. To use the internet, click START, CONNECT TO ... Juno will
be in the list. Rightclick and select properties. Select the second tab
and check the box (second from the top) that says show username and
password. Click Apply and connect. When the username password box comes
up complete them and click "save username/password". When you connect,
open Internet Explorer and browse. When you are done, rightclick the
dialup icon in the system tray and select disconnect.

You will have to do this until each of the phone numbers you selected
has a saved username/password (AAUGH) so it is a good idea to select
only 3 or so. Because of the rotation, you never know which you'll get
so keep checking until you are sure you've saved the number in all of
them. If I find a way to mass-edit the un/pw field, I'll update the
post.
