Being an IDIOT, I decided to try Norton AV. For some reason I decided
I liked the look of it and kept it installed. Over the next few weeks I
noticed that my PC was so much slower that usual. The reputation they
have for being a resource hog is a reputation they have for a reason. I
have now jumped on the AVAST bandwagon and found that their positive
reputation is justified.

One time I installed Norton 360 and within 1 week it had told me that
Microsoft Vista was a virus. So I called and complained and was refunded my
money on the spot

Disabling SYmantec Antivirus on my system also disabled Network!
Weird.

I found a workaround, too lon gto epxlain, but there's just another reason
your network might not recognized the World, even though enabled.
Some kind of "threatfire" Symnantec pre-filter doesn't like to be disabled.

No, it's an example of the facts.

Don't delete anything. Always uninstall, and the best way to do that is to
use Revo Uninstaller. Its a free download to the home user, and gives your
computer a clean uninstall including the registry. Norton is a notorious,
program to deal with, but Revo Uninstaller will completely remove it. I am
in NO way connected to the Revo group, nor do I receive any compensation
from them. I am just a satisfied user.

I see 'a bloated hog' and 'sloppy' ....so I think that's describing Frank.
