Just want to share a Disk to 6 computers (no failover)

Hi,
I'm running a intel modular server (6 CPU Modules and a shared LUN / Disk).
I just want to format this shared Data-Disk (not the system Disks) with NTFS
and share it over all computers. Physicaly it's working -- but Windows 2008
don't like it (chckdsk when starting at all computers for the shared drive /
recycler is always mentioned as corrupted).
Failover is not my intention. MultiPathIO and the Failover-Feature is
installed.
The Failover-Networking is not in place (no IP assigned).
What software components do I need to run the scenario?
It's just want a share SAN-Drive !

So are you trying to share a LUN between two Windows 2008 servers so they
access the same LUN simultaneously without clustering involved? If so, this
is not going to be possible. The NTFS filesystem does not have any built-in
filesystem locking mechanisms, so it cannot handle simultaneous physical
access to the filesystem. Doing so will result in filesystem corruption.

Well, four Windows 2008 Servers are running against this single Disk named D:\
Any help for me (beside waiting for CSV - Cluster shared volume - of Windows
2008 R2)?
Someone told me to switch with my hyper-v instances (22 different
Windows-Servers) to Vmware ... Ups, that would be complete change in our
strategy...
I installed the failover cluster today (since dinner time with heartbeat
connection)
but (1) only one server has write access, the others may only read and (2)
I'm to low on network adapters (1 for the host, 1 for the heartbeat and 1 for
Hyper-V -- all I got are 2 network adapters -- no hyper-v possible in this
case -- but it's needed).

While it is true that CSV breaks the rules that I've described, it is a
special case that will only be supported for clustering virtual machines.
Your hosts won't have simultaneous access to your D: drive with CSV...but
your VMs will.

There are likely 3rd party solutions available that can help with this, but
there is nothing "in the box" today that can handle this...other than SMB
sharing to other hosts. CSV will be a solution in the future for hyper-v.
