Kaspersky vs Vista

Every once in a while Vista decides that "Kaspersky Anti-Virus is turned
off."

Kaspersky is turned on and reports that it is running happily.

When I try and force the issue by going to Windows Security Centre and
'Turn on Now' - the confirmation 'Yes, I trust this program and am ready
to run it' is ignored by Vista, and I get thrown back to square one.

(I have no such problems with Kaskersky and Win XP SP2.)

Anyone have a solution - short of downgrading to XP?
Thanks

Have you checked for updates that improve compatibility with Security Center
or uninstall/reinstall Kaspersky?

Kaspersky has proven itself untrustworthy to me as it missed 6 trojans
on my system that NOD32 found and removed.

Besides its heavy on the system and cant seem to maintain a stable
product.

Free doesn't necessarily mean better.

Top Antivirus Performers (PC World April 2007)

Do you have any reputable source or are you going to go by who pays the
reviewer the most?

Thank you Andre for the only sensible (and on target) suggestion. I have
sent a message to the Kaspersky Forum for guidance (and no,
install/uninstall did not work).
