KB 928365

the windows auto upgrade just flagged upgrade KB928365 for window.net
framework....
i'm using windows XP, i am only familiar with dot com by and large, so i'm
not sure if this upgrade applies to my system? please help...

The .NET (dot-net) 'Framework' is essentially part of the Windows
operating system, a necessary part of what needs to be on your computer to
run several Microsoft and third-party programs. My own company writes
software for its products that utilizes the .NET features. The .NET in this
case has nothing to do with URL identifiers such as .com, .gov, .net, etc.
Not sure why MS named this function as they did, but your confusion is
understandable. You should accept the .NET updates; some programs won't run
without it.

It applies to your system because you have .NET Framework 2.0 installed
(and, I assume, you do not have WinXP SP3 installed yet).

The real puzzler is why Windows Update is only offering KB928365 now, since
it was released on 10 July 200*7*?
