As seen in the 2 posts by Martin and Leon, I am also having the same issues.
I even went and manually downloaded the update and tried to run it myself, I
then get told that my OE version is not correct, even though it is. Does
anyone know how I can fix this, and also where I can see all the updates that
have been installed on my PC. Im running W2K SP4 on NTFS.

If anyone has an idea, it would be much appreciated, as this is becoming a
real pain, both for myself and my users.

Thanks

You have to uninstall KB897715 first anyway. Afterwards install KB882353,
which you should download manually from DownloadCenter, install optionally
KB887797 (which you should download vom DC too) afterwards and finally
reinstall KB897715. Everytime you try to install an OE patch, OE mustn't
be running!

Bye,
Freudi

Thanks very much, OE is never running though, as I only use Outlook. I will
give this a try and let you know what happens.

I'm having the same problem, and I don't use Outlook or Outlook Express.
When I attempted to uninstall KB897715, like Ottmar recommended, I got a
warning that listed all of my programs, saying that they might not work if
the hotfix were to be removed. Should I ignore this warning and continue the
uninstall?

Or, if I ignore this long enough, will the Microsoft folks figure it out and
send a fix that will prevent this from happening?

Thanks,
Ellen

You can safely ignore the warning...

As Torgeir Said, go ahead and ignore the warning, and do exactly as Freudi
said. I tried it and it worked. Freudi thanks very much for the help.
