KB826939: Updatepackage 1 for Microsoft Windows XP

When I go to the update site from windows and click on install, it try's to
automaticly install the updates and when it's done it says these updates
can't be installed. Updates failed.

Also I can't put back on the automatic install button from the SP2.

Try a manual download of the update to see if it installs for you.

Why it failed to install, may involve looking at the Update log. If you can't install
it manually, then copy and paste the results of your errors in the update log into
this post so others can read it and maybe suggest something.

Open Internet Explorer and either type or copy and then paste this into the Address
bar:


%windir%\Windowsupdate.log


If you receive an error message on the Microsoft Windows Update Web site or from the
Automatic Updates service, you can use the information that is included in the
Windowsupdate.log log file to troubleshoot the issue.
