Removing a Hotfix if Add/Remove doesn't work:-
If this Hotfix can be uninstalled you should be able to do it by this (I can't check
as I've cleaned out my old hotfix files).
1. Close any Open Windows or Programs
2. Click Start, select Run
3. Type or copy the following: %WINDIR%\$NtUninstallKB828741$\spuninst
4. Locate and double-click the file Uninst.exe. This will start the wizard.
5. Click Next to scan, Yes, to confirm that you want to uninstall the update
regardless of what other software it might affect.
6. Allow it to finish
I'm concerned at what version of Norton's Antivirus you are using? If it is an older
version, are you sure it's compatible with WinXP?
If you need to manually download the update again
