Hi
If WinXP SP2 is installed (or someone has tried to install it), you
might have a incomplete SP2 installation.
In the KB article
"You receive an "Explorer.EXE - Entry Point Not Found - The procedure entry
point SHCreateThreadRef could not be located in the dynamic link library
Shlwapi.dll" error message after you install the MS04-038 security update"
at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=888162
see
"Q1: I do not think my computer is in an "incomplete Windows XP SP2
state." How can I know for sure?"
If one of the two methods to check the SP2 installation indicates that
it is incomplete, you should uninstall SP2 and then install SP2 again
(that is also described in the KB article above).
