KB834707 Update Issue

Having similar problems. KB834707 won't install on XP SP2 with IE 6. Tries to
install on shut down but ends up just "hanging". Manual installs similarly
unsuccessful. My logfile is as follows:

Hi

Your Cryptographic Service is most likely running fine, renaming
or deleting the Catroot2 folder is most likely what you need to
do to solve the problem.

I have created a batch file that does this for you (it enables
the Cryptographic Service as well).

Look for fixdb.bat under "Error 0x800710D9 Unable to read from
or write to the database". Download and run it.
