KB837009 comes back

I too have experienced this problem but with another update KB837009. Update
has been constantly downloading this update for at least a week now and even
though it successfully installs the download just comes in again

Download and install this one manually (a newer update that also
includes KB837009) and see if it helps:

I have the same problem and trying to install manually does not work. The
message "This update requires Outlook Express Service Pack 1 to be installed"
pops up.

When I check the version in "about" menu, it does not show SP1 for OE. IE
does show that it is updated to SP1 though.

Hi all. I finally got mad enough to quit going through all the suggested
fixes and used some common sense and deleted all windows updates and outlook
express in the add/delete programs function.

I reran updates for windows and office 2000 and all of my problems were
suddenly fixed. No more downloading the same updates 20 times only to have it
say I needed these updates.
Score one for the non college educated person.
