STILL can't get WIN98se to see an installation of the Outlook Express
update. Attempts to install from file downloaded from Windows Catalog return
error message, "This update requires Windows XP". However, the "Read More"
section on the files says the following:
== begin quoted materiall ==
System Requirements
Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP
This update applies to Outlook Express 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the
following operating systems:
Windows XP SP1
Windows XP
Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me)
Windows 2000 SP2
Windows 2000 SP3
Windows 2000 SP4
Windows 98 SE
Windows 98
Windows NT® 4.0 SP6A

Question - if the only SUPPORTED o.s. is WinXP, why on earth am I being told
to download it to a Win98SE platform???????????
It is *NOT* a mis-registered issue ... or, at least, a "find" on 837009
while using REGEDIT returns no entries.
If I need to install a security patch, I'd like to get it done. If NOT,
then I'd like to stop seeing the daily "You Have Critical Updates Available"
notice.....
