KB842773 and Sharing

Installed the KB842773 update on Monday, 4/25. When I attempted to log in
today to that machine from another o my network, could not do so. Upon
investigation, found that the sharing in the system had been disabled, and
could not be restarted.

The system in question is a Windows 2000 Pro w/ all updates and SP4
installed. When I tried to restore sharing on the system resources, the
sharing tab had disappeared from the drive properties sheet, as if File and
Printer sharing was not even installed. However, the service was installed
and operating.

Did not receive any errors on startup indicating anything was amiss.
However, after removing this update, the Sharing tab has reappeaed, and I can
once again share the resources over my network.

No problems here. Able to map to shares without any
issues.
