I installed the update and have no problems with it as far as I can tell.
However I read the following information in a computer magazine article which says

"The update replaces a previous update, MS04-004. If users have applied that patch and subsequently applied non-public hotfixes they may have to reapply them after applying the new cumulative update. Users should consult the bulletin and Microsoft support."

I have applied hotfixes since the 004 update but I don't know what 'non-public hotfixes ' means.
I applied the hotfixes from Microsoft site, of course.
Am I still protected?
How can I tell if I need to reinstall any hotfix? They still show up on my add /remove program list.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks

The light is shed in Knowledgebase Article 871260 (
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=871260 ). Get the updates linked to
from there, and apply them on top - that way you get additional bugfixes :-)

Cheers,

Phil
