I have a brand-new XPSP2 computer that has ONLY had Office 2003 installed,
but, MicrosoftUpdate downloaded this patch, which seems to only be needed
with Office XP or older versions of VISIO or Project (none of which I have).

Another error, like 2 weeks ago?

Generally speaking, if Microsoft Update offers you an update, it applies to
your machine.
