I am getting the following series of errors in the App Event Log on a group
of PCs:

Product: Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer -- Error 1706. An installation
package for the product Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer cannot be found. Try
the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package
'Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer.msi'.

and

Product: Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer - Update
'{ACDCBD7A-C95C-4A97-BD7C-17823E4F66D2}' could not be installed. Error code
1603. Additional information is available in the log file
C:\WINNT\TEMP\MSI76835.LOG.


What can I look at to resolve this? The links provided in Event Viewer are
dead ends.

Have you checked the C:\WINNT\TEMP\MSI76835.LOG to see if it exists and
what is contained in it ?
You *may* need to show hidden files, folders, and/or system files to
view it : http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
If the log exists, post back with it, please.
