Hmm... that article is linking to MS05-004 which is subtitled KB887219
Apparently you can get an Enterprise Update Scan Tool for this update.
Perhaps it can clarify what is needed and what you have?

Otherwise since there is no MBSA support for this I would just
be using the bulletin's file manifest and checking the desired versions
against the real module versions. Note also that the version of the patch
that you get is dependent on both the product and its maintenance level.
So be sure you are getting the right one(s). I'm not sure exactly how
we are supposed to know which product and maintenance level apply.
I haven't yet found a tool analogous to dxdiag or MDAC's component
checker to help that way. There is a link to KB824643 for troubleshooting
..Net installation problems so perhaps that issue is cleared up in there.
