KB886903 will not install and cannot install/uninstall .NET

I tryed every bit of info . from everyone and the only thing that worked was:

1. Go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;826282
Follow the instructions

2. Download and installI .NET framework 1.1

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en


3.Download and installI .NET service pack 1


http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

REBOOT
All should be good.

I've had this problem for months and tried all the other solutions to no
avail. This is the ONLY ONE that worked for me.
