Everytime I attempt to download this patch, I get a 'Download Failed'
message. I have been trying to download this update now for sometime. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. TNX

Any clues in the update log for the reason it fails?

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type %windir%\windowsupdate.log
and then click OK.

Scroll down towards the bottom for the latest entries to locate the error code(s)
associated with the latest failed attempt to download/install. If appropriate copy
and paste the error codes into this thread so someone may be able to assist you. On
the other hand, you may be able to find the error code and other suggestions by
searching the Newsgroup.

Have you tried manually downloading the applicable patch and trying to install it?

Taur Arian [MVP],
When I run %windir%\windowsupdate.log the last entry in the log is 8-12-2004
without any failure codes.

>Have you tried manually downloading the applicable patch and trying to install it?

Yes. That is what led me here. What is unusual is that I haven't any trouble
with the other updates. I can't recall even having to attempt to load them
manually. I tried with my Pop-Up blockers up. Mayber I'll try with the
anti-virus disabled as well.
I'm still open for suggestions.
Thanks for your help.
