As soon as I install the KB890830 update it asks me install it again even
though the install was successful. If anybody had this problem and found a
way to correct this please let me know.

Thnx

From Automatic Update or another source ? Could be malware, could be
the installed security software that's causing this issue.
*OR* ... if it's via automatic updating, it very well may be that the
system downloaded the toxic first release of this month's MSRT and the
system can not replace it with the rereleased version.

It was from the Automatic Update. I've run into this problem once before but,
I can't remember how if the problem was corrected through the AU or not. But,
if the first install was bad, is there any way to correct the problem?

Somehow the Windows Update managed to install the update without asking that
I re-install it again. I don't know how or why this happens but, it's
apparently working now.
Thank you both MowGreen and TaurArian for your input, it is greatly
appreciated.

Thanks again

You're mowst welcome. Most likely culprit is what I mentioned
previously. You can see for yourself which version of the MSRT ran by
checking the version of MRT.exe, located in WINDOWS\system32.
Right click it, choose Properties, then click the Version tab
It should show V 2.5.2423.0.

December 2009 Cummulative Update SharePoint

After the below patches were run, and it said 2 services failed to restart,
so to run the setup again. Enabled services and reran the wizard. No
indication of a problem until you try to edit webpages.

Error when I try to open any .aspx page from any site or website using
Designer. Impossible to edit aspx files now using Designer.

soap:ServerServer was unable to process request. ---> Bad IL range.

Cummulative Patches causing this error:
First do:
WSS30_386540intl_i386_zip.exe
Second do:
MOSS_388488_intl_i386_zip.exe
office-kb971537-fullfile-x86-glb.exe
wss-kb971538-fullfile-x86-glb.exe

Anybody have a solution besides rebuilding the entire server?

Dale,

Is there a reason you keep responding to posts with this? Start one of your
own and describe your situation in full detail. [;]-)
