I am on dial up. If I have read voluminous blogs, c-net, etc., etc.,
correctly, this is the one that "calls home". Is this correct. I have not
and will not install KB905474. I know I'm legal and so does Dell.

I don't always connect just to use my computer and have always had it set to
Never dial a connection. Almost every time WindowsXP starts, this d*** Dial
Up Connection window pops up. I change the settings back to never dial, then
have to click Cancel three more times when it pops back up. Then have to also
change Internet Properties back to Never dial.

I don't see anything running that shouldn't be when this happens. And my
system is clean.......no pests.

Is there a way to stop this infernal, annoying, aggravating, (spying) pop up
on *my* computer off line in my *own* home?
Excuse me but I am really frustrated with this.

Thanks, I would really appreciate any help.
Judy

Nope, KB892130 will *not* connect.
Please post your observations into the Security newsgroup.
