KB892130, Old or New ???

When I checked for MS Updates, I too was told that I needed KB892130. When
I read the description, it looked very familiar and indeed it is. I
installed it back on July 27, 2005. But, it did not show in the Control
Panel, Add/Remove Programs. I looked up KB 892130 at MS and it has a
companion KB898461 that I had installed on June 29, 2005. I decided to go
ahead and install KB892130 again, as what could it hurt ?? It installed OK,
but in the Control Panel, it does not show it's number ?? Also, now when I
look for updates using Microsoft Update, I now "supposedly" need, KB912945,
KB904942, & KB912475. None of these updates appear in my "history" or in the
"control panel" of installed programs.
We just went through the last problem with update KB913446, which I had to
manually install. I think I will wait a bit to install anymore "updates" to
my system.
I sure wish MS would get it's act together as it's stressfull wondering if
you are doing the "right" thing to keep your system up to date and safe ??
