KB892130 (Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool)

Typical Microsoft. Apparently I need a patch for my patch, because it won't
install.

I paid an arm and leg (and then some) for this software, then had to go
through the process of validating online that it was real, then have to keep
coming back for updates because it's got so many flaws. Now you want me to
download a program to re-confirm that it's real, and guess what? The program
doesn't work.

Can't wait until the Mozilla people come up with an OS!

I bought Windows XP Home. I have the box and the license number,
55277-005-8534305-21968



I have had to reinstall this copy of Windows on several occasions, as I had
hardware issues and had to rebuild my computer.



I have never installed this software on another computer. It is only running
on one system.



I have installed the windows genuine validation software from Windows Update.



Now I cannot install ANY updates, because it says that my license has been
used too many times.



I have already gone through all of the diagnostic page and made sure that
everything was running correctly. It is.



I also turned off my antivirus and firewall when trying to get this Genuine
Validation Tool to run correctly.



When I go to get support, they want to charge me $35.00 when I have done
nothing wrong.



Please help me get my Windows Update running correctly. I do not think that
I should have to pay $35.00 in order to fix a mistake that Microsoft caused.

If you post your licence number on a public newsgroup, chances are someone
will use it.

I jst had the same thing happen and M$ said that many PCs were having
withe the WGA tool. It seems that the issue is on MS's end. You may
have to call or use the live online chat. If it is MS's issue and not
yours, you will not be charged for any help regarding this problem.
