I have tried many times to install thee updates, but they will not install. I
went directly to the download page, saved the files onto my desktop, and
tried a manual install after shutting off auto update and closing all
firewalls and anti virus software. The windows updater begins to run during
the install of the update... it says it is configuring my office application,
then it says update cannot be applied. I even tried to reinstall windows
updater 3.1 to no avail. I then went to Add/remove programs and treid to
choose repair configuration for the Office small business edition 2003, and
it stops in the middle of it due to a fatal error. do I need to reinstall
office from scratch... or will microsoft release a patch to fix this
problem... I have read that many people are having problems with these
updates to office. HELP!
