Joao,
Boot to Safe Mode :
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/180902
Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall KB896358.
Reboot to normal Windows mode.
Then click this link :
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...en/default.asp
Click the " Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems " link.
Under Operating System, click on Windows Millennium.
Now click the Advanced Search button.
Where it says Advanced Search options, type in KB896358, then click the
Search button.
Critical Updates and Service Packs should show 1 update next to it.
Click on Critical Updates and Service Packs.
In the lower frame click the Add button.
Download and Save the file, do NOT choose to install it from WU.
When the download is finished, restart the system to Safe Mode.
Install the update from within Safe Mode. Restart the system to normal
Windows mode to see if the issue still exists. If it does, restart to
Safe Mode and uninstall the update again.
