KB900725 and onwards will not install

i got the update notice today. downloaded all available..

KB902400 installs fine

KB899589 installs fine.

But when it comes to KB900725, it hangs... and the rest, they fail in
installing. 45 minutes later the install process for the rest of the updates
is complete saying it couldn;t install them.

WHY?

Try clearing the cookies, temporarily internet files, history and then
re-start pc.

Thanks a lot! It solved my problem. None of the 9 security updates would
download. Now they're all installed, and I can relax.

I have done all that and still cannot load the KB900725. I went to Windows
Update and tried to download it seperately. When the download window came
up; it showed the KB900725 Patch at 0kb's. Maybe that is what is wrong with
it.?

I went online and downloaded the KB900725 by itself. Put it on my desktop and
tried to install it from there, with all security progams off and internet
disconnected and still could not get it loaded. It came back and said that it
could not extract \shell.dll\.
What's interesting is that this is the only file on hard drive that defrag
cannot put together.
