that page is not relevant, since the compatibility patch does not exist for
users of ME, and there has been no change to any of the patches involved in
ME, AFAIK.
I used the dial-a-fix on one of my fully updated ME systems yesterday - and
was rather disconcerted when it popped up with a 'you must reboot before
proceeding to more fixes' message - while continuing to finish the set of
fixes I had decided to apply.
If you are going to try this tool, download the FULL set - but only apply
one fix at a time, and check afterwards whether a reboot may be required (if
a c:\windows\wininit.ini file exists, then it's a sure sign that a reboot
would be a good thing!)
