Having problems downloading these two critical updates. When trying to
download these updates they almost download completly but then stop and say
"Setup Error, the directory name is invalid" this is all it says. It then
stops the download, and I am back to square one. If anyone has any
suggestions, or any quick fixes it would be greatly appreciated.

This may not help your problem but after completing download of KB908519
along with the Jan Malicious tool my computer drastically slowed in all ops.
I restored once and reloaded the same with same results then restored without
reloading, again with the same results additionlly losing the use of outlook
send for e-mail, finally just undid the restores and now all is functioning
normally. Both updates are listed as being sucessfully installed. My
version is windows xp home with sbc dsl. I have no idea what happened to
clear my problem.
Had no problems with KB912919.

And *your* Windows version is...?

Do you have Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Personal Firewall (NPF)
installed?
