KB908519 - Is this OK?

Look, I've got Windows XP Home edition and my automatic download icon tells
me two windows updates are available for download (KB890830 - shows up on
Microsoft search) and (KB908519 - does NOT show up on Microsoft website
search). Is this last one valid ?

Also, what do I do if the update icon tells me downloads have been made and
are ready for installation and I DON'T want to install them, preferring to go
to the Windows Update homesite and have them check if I need the updates?

KB908519 ????

Just visit the Microsoft Windows Update web site and
download all the recommended critical updates.

I think it might have been a typo - that'd be KB905519 perhaps? I can say
that three XP Pro systems, 1 XP Home system, one Tablet, and one XP Pro
laptop have all been updated and so far none of them have any issues here
though... err... Three of them haven't been rebooted and the tablet hasn't
been restarted. <g> Seriously though, the XP Pro desktop system and the XP
Home desktop system that have gone through it and the laptop and they're
working just fine if that helps.

I would venture to say that KB905915 is a potential problem. It can disable
critical features such as accessing the Windows Update site itself, as well
as, disabling Active X contols. Of course this only affects a "minority" of
computers......mainly 98SE and ME, although it has affected other later OS
as well.

Actually.........KB908519 is a new update just published on the Windows
Update site. Based on the last 2.......I'd be ready to uninstall it at a
moments notice. Backing up the registry prior to installation is not a bad
idea either.

Thank you. When I got the updates - and they were all done by the time I
read this - I'd noted the mis-match between the update and the information
in the link. Had me curious.
