Just an FYI - I have a multiple whammy HP Computer, HP Scanner, and HP
Printer. My problem started yesterday - didn't know about the existence of
you good folks. The happy result is that I ended up doing a clean format of
my PC (overdue) and re-install of all software. What a shock to find that I
still had the problem.

Whoever it was that provided the Registry patch for us HP Users, many thanks
- it solved my problem.

I must admit that I have been most fortunate - up until now I had no
problems with Microsoft Updates. I can only assume that Microsoft is now
aware that there were serious problems with this set of updates and that they
will be supplying a patch to fix the problem - even if it is Easter.

Thanks again to all of you,
Flavelle Ballem

Well, Easter came and is almost gone. NO patches from Microsoft. They
should be ashamed of themselves. And, we all pay many dollars for what
products? Hum,, might we think again?
I am frustrated and discouraged. I could NOT do any of the documents and
now cannot meet any of my deadlines thanks to Microsoft.
I will be sure to turn OFF automatic security updates. Trust NO ONE!
Thanks to all of you who tried to help, but so far, none of these has cured
my Word, Excel or Publisher. I am stuck! I am running Office XP for Small
Business.
