I have a laptop which is running Windows 2000 service pack 4. The machine
was brought in and I tried to install updates. All updated with the
exception of Windows Media Player and the add in (through numerous attempts
at installing all at once I took them step by step).
Anyway the system locks everytime (for more than 2 hours) trying to install
these updates.
I have now discovered this machine has Windows Media Version 10 installed.
How do I get the update to show that I don't need it - or that it has been
installed?
