KB911927 Already Installed - Keeps Installing?!?!

I'm running factory installed XP MCE on a brand new HP m7330n with McAffee
Security Center. The Windows firewall is disabled, and Windows Update is on
automatic. The absolute first thing I did when I hooked it up was download
and install every available Windows update, followed by all available HP
updates (drivers).

On 02.18 KB911927 was installed and the system rebooted. The update is
clearly recognized as the capture illustrates:

Every single day, more than once a day, Windows Update (WU) notifies me of
available updates. KB911927 is the update. This is what I see

What's the solution?

Yeah, I know, uninstall it. I DID! It downloads, installs, and WU continues
to nag me to "install" it. I'm sure someone will suggest a system restore.
Yeah, I could do that and it might work. Thing is, this is an MS issue and MS
needs to resolve it for me, and everyone else, that is having or will have a
problem with this obviously corrupt update; a *corruptdate*, if you will.

Besides, if I restore the system, WU will install the corruptdate again and
the cycle will, most likely, continue.

When will MS release a patch to resolve this?

Thanks Carey. I failed to mention that I tried that (oops) after and before
one of the uninstalls. I was sure the WU site would sort it out. I suppose I
should be happy that (so far) I'm not experiencing any performance issues
that seem to be afflicting some others.
