Correct. Uninstall Beta2 of IE7, apply KB912812 and reinstall IE7B2
afterwards in case you want to test it.

IE7 Beta2 is not in the list of Affected Components here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms06-013.mspx

Best to rely on Windows Update for updates/patches the machine should have,
instead of trying to pick & choose ones you /think/ it needs.

Beta testers of IE7 Public Preview are asked to post their comments to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...plorer.general

In your newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

Thanks Ottmar for you post.

But there is no IE7 beta 2 installed in my system.
"Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2" does not exist,
I cannot run %windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst.e xe ,
the directory does not exists.

And Still cannot run the update KB912812, same error persists.

Any other advice??

Regards

Wilfredo

Ehm, how do I have to interpret "I was Setting up Internet Explorer 7
Beta 2 that finish normally" then?

What IE version is displayed in IE via "?/Help -> Info"?

> And Still cannot run the update KB912812, same error persists.

Moved the Program Files directory onto another partition?

No, you'll have to relocate the Program Files path back to its original
value which is %systemdrive%\Program Files in order to get KB912812
installed.

Freudi

Does 912812 install successfully if you attempt to install it via Windows
Update?

Have you a Restore Point which predates any (attempted) installs of IE7
Beta2?
