After installing this patch, on reboot, windows informed me my hardware had
significantly changed and I would have to reactivate my copy of windows (it
is legit). When I tried to sign on line (dial-up) I was unable to has my
settings had been changed by the patch. I used Acronis and reinstalled an
earlier backup of my system. I then downloaded and installed 4 patches
skipping the above. Everything works fine. Also, this is a replacement for
an earlier patch from April which also was supposed to fix similiar problems,
that one left my system in a continuous boot loop. Any known workarounds?
Thanks.
