kb914798 failed to install again for third time

The first time I tried to install kb914798 I got error code 0x80070103, I
just tried to do another upgrade for kb914798 and got another failed to
install with erroe code 0x8007F0DA.
Can anybody advise?

From where are you getting the update ... Windows Update or Microsoft
Update ? It is not meant for Windows XP SP2, BTW.

I got it from windows update. I have XP with SP1 installed.

I got the same failure to install message. I am also running Windows
XP SP1. Can anyone from MS advise why this update fails to install?

Any luck solving this? I am also having problems with this update. Even
if I log in on the laptop as domain administrator I can not install it.

Any help appreciated.

im getting this messige and now my updates keep reinstaling wots up here?????

I've got the same problem; a Notebook (Dell D800) with XP SP1, and I've been
prompted to install KB914798 13 times now! Each time it fails, and then next
reboot, prompts me again!
In the mean time, I've successfully installed other updates; it's just
this one that's being an annoying pest!

Someone... please help! (thanx!)
