KB915597 (Definition 1.15.2231.7)

When I update Windows update says that I am installing this file (0bytes!) ,
but nothing seems to actually install - when I go to update history this
Windows defended file supposedly installs - again and again and again. On
startup I get an error message that Defender is not openig - - any clues

Are you running the final version of Defender?

Defender final was released on 23 Oct-06. Support for Defender Beta2 ended
31 Dec-06. Upgrade ASAP:
