KB916281

I tried running Microsoft Update yesterday on a Windows 2003 SB server which
is a domian controller. KB916281 failed with error 0x8007f0ed. I therefore
downloaded the corresponding file to install manually - ran it, got to
'Inspecting your current configuration' screen then window disappears and
'Required installation branch was not found in INF file' error appears.

On looking back at the Microsoft Update installation history, KB916281 has
been generating an error every day since 17th June (it appears to be
0x8007f0ed every time). My automatic updates are scheduled to download only
and notify so why is KB916281 logging an installation error every day?

I have seen this update successfully applied to a SBS 2003 domain controller
elsewhere.
