KB917151 fails to install

Any pointer as to what the problem could be related to? Error from MS is
useless as it is a generic "fail to install error" 0x643.

I had the same problem, and was able to solve it using the information in
Knowledge Base article 884298. However, it does require messing with the
registry, so save a system restore point, and be careful.

Thank you. I will check it out. I did "fix" it last night by uninstalling
VISIO 2003, applying the patch and reinstalling VISIO. It is probably one of
these registry mysteries !!!
