KB918899 fails to install

I've been trying to update an XP system. All the other updates downloaded
and installed, except the cumalative security update KB918899 fails each
time i try to update it. I was using the WU sight to update. I then
downloaded the update file and tried running it. Seemed to be installing,
then at the end it says setup canceled. I am the Admin on the systen and
was in the admin account. Anyone else have this problem or maybe have some
insight to whats going on? TIA

thanks for the advice..i just tried that, using the built in Admin account
and the Admin Account i created. Both times the same reults happened; setup
canceled after seeming to install it

Is "Security Update for Windows XP (KB921883)" listed in Add/Remove
Programs?

Had same problem here. Solution was the same as for previous update
problems. I've changed my %programfiles% variable in the registry from
c:\program files.
I changed it back to 'c:\program files' then did the update. Everything went
well.
I thought maybe this will help you.

the version of browseui.dll, listed in the system32 folder is ,
6.0.2900.2904
