KB922582 - still a problem?

I'm way behind on Windows updates and did a big one last night for the first
time since forever, on a PC bought in August 2003, and even after installing
SP2 (yes, I didn't have that, either), today a load more have cropped up.

One of them is update KB922582, which I understand caused the Blue Screen of
Death for PCs with an nVidia GeForce MX440 card (which I have) and a P4 2Ghz
processor, but in the case of the latter mine is a P4 2.67Ghz, so can anyone
please advise if I would have the same problem?

I only picked this one out at random to google and see what the update did and
then I saw this and understandbly panicked, because you can't seem to remove
these things once installed

TIA for any help.

Did you read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922582? Has the behavior
described in Symptoms section ever happened to you?

Thanks for your reply. I haven't had that behvaiour, so I'm guessing I don't
need to update that particular one.

It's just that I was going to do a load of updates in one go, but would it
make more sense (albeit be rather time-consuming - possibly necessary) to go
through each one first and find out what it does? Thanks.

Thanks. Can you let me know, if I was going to do a load of updates in one go,
but would it make more sense (albeit be rather time-consuming - possibly
necessary) to go through each one first and find out what it does? Thanks.
