kb923723 patch update keeps reappearing to post over and over

I looked this patch up on Google and found the information below. The
system I am running from is Windows XP Home with SP2. Please fix this
update so it posts and stops doing it over and over. I have checked the
Control Panel updates and it is NOT in the list of posted updates. Please
see the information below.

Uninstall that update when present under Control Panel > Add/Remove
Programs > Show Updates. Next, download and install that update here:

Click OK or press Enter
Please post the contents of the KB923723.log into your reply.
