Hi, I posted this under "old updates not being represented, but not sure if
someone will see it as the thread is a little old. Anyny help would be
greatly appreciated. I have done all that you said in your post, yet still I
am stalled at KB924270, error 0xD80070003. I installed IE7, then uninstalled
it because it sucked up too much memeory (I only have 256kb), now AU is
installing - I assume - the old updates leading up to where I installed IE7
and have stalled here. KB #914389 tests out as
being correct according to your instructions below, but lsasrv.dll is not
in that update. I have tried everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - in this
message board and I am at my wits end because nothing is working. I have
considered even trying to delete all updates leading from KB914389 on, but
before I do that I thought I would ask if someone could help here. Otherwise
I'm going to have to turn off AU because I'm sick of clicking on "Install
updates" over and over again to no avail. Not too mention that AU won't move
past 924270 now and I'm not getting any request for updates except for
924270.
I am running Windows XP Home edition on a Dell Inspiron 4000
Thanks to anyone who can help me resolve this riddle.
