Since the update, whenever I try to restore a window, it doesn't show up. It
ends up staying in the background, and refuses to focus on it. I have to
minimize everything else to get to it. And also, the top window loses focus
randomly on nothing as if i clicked the task bar or something. Anyone else
having problems?

I'm having a problem with Internet Explorer flashing. Every 5 seconds
or so it'll repaint the window making browsing the Internet VERY
annoying! Since it's Internet Explorer I get the same problem with
Windows Explorer, the folder tree on the left repaints every 5 seconds
in the same way. I'm seriously thinking about uninstalling this update
because I can't use my computer normally with it.

I doubt it's the update as I have no problems on three computers like
what you all describe. Did you disable your anti virus auto scan before
installing the update?

Yes I did. And to make sure, i even disabled them and tried reinstalling the
update again and it caused the same problem. Maybe it's conflicting with
other software on my machine?

Could be. Is your AV Norton? What I do, which may be a bit anal, is
first do a clean up with Crap Cleaner and then with the XP clean up. I
then do a defrag followed by a reboot and then I set a System Restore
Point in case the updates go askew. Then I disable my Avast AV and go to
Windows Update and get the updates.
